Conferences & Workshops
Since publication of my first novel in 1995, I’ve had the pleasure of speaking and teaching at more than a hundred conferences, university writing programs, and writers’ workshops nationwide, including the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators National Conference in Los Angeles, the Florida First Coast Writers Conference, the Tennessee Young Writers Workshop and the writing program at Hollins University.
Although I’m happy to talk about any aspect of writing and publishing, currently, I’m focusing my teaching efforts in these areas:
— SCBWI Los Angeles
- Creative Writing
- Revising the Novel
- Writing Historical Novels
- Writing the Young Adult Novel
